They had my favorite animal which has was my favorite since childhood, which is the ostrich. The main things that it did NOT have were Gorillas, Giraffes, Hippos, and Elephants, but it had practically every other thing that makes a Zoo worth it. We walked in and honestly I was expecting a lowgrade, maybe a snake or two, type of Zoo, but this thing was better than expected. Unfortunately, we didn't buy the Zoo, #MattDamon, but we still had a ton of fun. We heard there was a Zoo here, so as basic white guys, in a foreign country we went to the Zoo. We saw 1 inning of a local baseball game. It was a crazy day, but honestly, so much fun because I love storms, and we got to do some fun service. We lifted the furniture so it wouldn't soak and swept all the water out. We entered and just started bailing water again.

Their house had flooded with about 8 inches of water. As soon as they opened their door, water just started rushing out of the house. Eventually, the water started to lower and so we told them to open their front door so we can sweep and mop it all out. At one house we got to, they didn't have anything we could use to block the water from entering the gated part of the porch, so the water kept rising no matter what we did. Honestly, it was hard for some families, but it was so much fun because we got to serve and meet new people. I never knew we had so many neighbors until that day. Technically taken in another city called San Antonio.Īfter we finished at one house we would just move to the other other and bail water and mop everything. I think we got along well because we are both big talkers. The next lesson was amazing also! We then went home and were able to talk even more. I think it was amazing to have Elder Meibos there for that lesson especially to share his powerful testimony. After the lesson, John practically was in accordance with everything we had taught and he then offered the closing prayer. John was so engaged, Elder Meibos was sharing everything he could in Spanish through the Spirit, and I was kind of just helping explain main points and my own thoughts and feelings. It was one of the most powerful lessons I've had on the mission. The idea was to share just a little bit so we could get to the next lesson, but then we felt we should share the entire restoration. We then drove to a park where we could sit down and talk. He asked us where and so he drove to us, and picked us up and his taxi. He had informed us that he was waiting for us, but we were still a couple blocks away. We had just finished eating and we got a call from John, the investigator.
